'Community building' is an idea we hear often from different voices. Being in the field with many other creative communities for almost 13 years now, our understanding of it has continuously shape-shifted throughout the years. It's very complicated — what seems like a straightforward concept is actually a complex journey of trial-and-error and ebb and flow. Besides, when did dealing with human connection, emotion, and ideals ever become simple?

And so as we go into our 13th year as PURVEYR and with our 6th edition of the PURVEYR calendar this 2025, we wanted to highlight the concept of 'Nurturing Communities'. Featuring a few of the countless local community events that are hosted yearly by different collectives, brands, groups, and organizations — this calendar is an homage to those who truly commit and invest themselves in pushing communities forward.

JANUARY — Fotomoto is a photography event and concept led by Filipino-based photographers that aim to foster the local photography community and industry.
FEBRUARY — BLTX is a long-standing community event that highlights small press, zines, and independent publishing.
MARCH — In time for Wanderland Festival's 10th Year which is the premier music festival in the Philippines that brings a tasteful mix of musicians and acts in our shores yearly.
APRIL — Kaput Systems Inc. is an event concept intersecting art and rave bringing together the community that celebrates both.
MAY — Good Old Days is the most notable flea market in Manila. A space where secondhand clothing and hiphop culture collide.
JUNE — Exploratour is an annual event that Built Cycles hosts on their anniversary month. They bring together cyclists through a month of rides and exploration.
JULY — Molave Community Marketplace is a free weekend market in Cebu that puts emphasis on making space for the growing creative community of the city.
AUGUST — The Philippine AeroPress Championship is an annual event hosted by Yardstick where the Filipino coffee community gathers for a day of camaraderie and competition.
SEPTEMBER — Our very own PURVEYR Fair is the physical culmination of what we do and aspire to achieve. A gathering of many different creative communities celebrating creativity and culture together.
OCTOBER — Fifth Wall Fest is the annual event that aims to shine light on the diverse and nuanced dance culture. Exploring the art and culture of dance through talks, films, design, food, objects, and more.
NOVEMBER — Hola Escolta is the cultural festival that seeks to reinvigorate Old Manila, especially, Escolta st., through art, music, and creative communities.
DECEMBER — Type Fair is a concept created to encourage a more informed perception and understanding of type design. It's also a gathering of local type designers and aficionados.

For every sale of the PURVEYR Calendar 2025, P250 will be donated to Angat Buhay organization to support their efforts in servicing and helping marginalized communities in the Philippines. And the P150 will be used for the production and logistics of making the calendar. The size of the calendar is 17 x 22 inches, and produced by a local print shop in Bulacan, Philippines.

The yearly PURVEYR Calendar is an iteration of the traditional calendar that was once omnipresent in Filipino households and mom-and-pop shops — and now re-emerging again through various local design and lifestyle concepts. The traditional calendar commonly features a business name, address, contact number, and other business details printed at the top part of the calendar. It is usually made and distributed by different local businesses as marketing giveaways for patrons.
